This course provides an introduction to techniques showcased in the following Clay Foundations courses:

Students will learn how simple pinching techniques can transform clay into creative functional and sculptural artwork. Along the way, participants will build confidence in shaping, texturing and constructing clay by hand.

Students will roll and extrud coils of clay that will be transformed into functional and sculptural artwork. Participants will focus on shaping, smoothing and gauging thickness for even firing.

Students will apply foundational clay hand building skills to create a one-of-a-kind nativity set featuring Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child.

Students will learn how to compress, cut, texture and assemble clay slabs while creating projects that encourage creativity, problem-solving and artistic design.

While simple in concept, straight cuts are the backbone of clean design, confident construction and successful glass work. This series is designed to help students slow down, build control and develop precision that will elevate every future project.

Students will learn the art and science of various ceramic glazing methods. Each class will explore a different technique, allowing students to join for one session or continue through the series, experimenting with color layering, masking, texture, specialty glazes and kiln-fired finishes.

Designed for students ready to move beyond basic strip work, this class explores the movement, flow and control required to create organic forms, smooth arcs and rounded designs in glass.

This advanced course, will teach students how to plan and execute interior cuts using specialized tools and thoughtful design strategies. They will practice creating clean openings, shaped cut-outs and fitted elements while developing patience, control and design
