Student Waiver and Release of Liability

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to Art on Fire Studio. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including our website, studio classes, events, and any other products or services offered by Art on Fire Studio (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1.  Acknowledgment of Activities and Risks

I understand that my child’s participation in any Art on Fire Studio program — including after-school camps, holiday or seasonal camps, summer camps, Parents’ Night Out events and homeschool classes — involves hands-on creative activities that may include, but are not limited to:

Clay handbuilding and pottery painting

Glass fusing and mosaic work

Painting, glazing and use of studio tools and materials

Use of water, adhesives, scissors, or cutting tools

Exposure to non-toxic art supplies and glazes

I acknowledge that these activities may carry inherent risks such as:

Minor injuries (cuts, burns, scrapes, slips, or falls)

Contact with sharp or breakable materials (glass, bisque, tools)

Allergic reactions to materials or environmental factors

Accidental damage to clothing or personal belongings

Art on Fire Studio staff are trained to provide a safe, supervised environment, but I understand that accidents may still occur even with proper instruction and precautions.

2.  Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or property damage that may arise from participation in Art on Fire Studio activities. I accept these risks on behalf of my child and agree that participation is entirely voluntary.

3.  Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in Art on Fire Studio programs, I, on behalf of myself, my child, my heirs, executors and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge and hold harmless Art on Fire Studio, its owners, employees, instructors, volunteers and agents from any and all claims or causes of action for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation — including those resulting from ordinary negligence.

This release applies to all current and future programs, including camps, classes and special events held on or off studio premises.

4.  Parental Responsibility and Behavior Expectations

I understand and agree that:

Art on Fire Studio is not a licensed childcare facility; supervision is provided only during scheduled program hours. Parents are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up. Late pickups may incur additional fees or limit future participation.

Students are expected to behave respectfully and follow all staff directions.

Unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior may result in dismissal from the program without refund or credit.

I will provide written notice of any medical, behavioral, or allergy concerns prior to my child’s participation.

5.  Artwork Handling and Kiln Disclaimer

I understand that art created in the studio — especially clay, ceramic, or fused glass — undergoes a firing process that may result in cracks, color variations, or breakage. Art on Fire Studio cannot guarantee specific results and is not responsible for replacing or refunding damaged work resulting from the normal kiln process or

handling.

6.  Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of an accident, illness, or emergency involving my child, I authorize Art on Fire Studio staff to administer first aid and to contact emergency services as deemed necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any related medical expenses and that studio staff are not medically trained professionals.

7.  Photography and Media Release

I grant permission for Art on Fire Studio to photograph or record my child and/or their artwork for promotional and marketing purposes, including social media, print and online materials.

8.  Agreement and Acknowledgment

I have read, fully understand and agree to this Youth Program Waiver and Release of Liability. I understand it is a legally binding document that applies to all programs my child participates in at Art on Fire Studio, including recurring sessions or camps, until revoked in writing.
